Abstract
The purpose of this study was to examine the major satisfaction of regular undergraduates at a junior college and that of student users of the credit bank system who received education in university-affiliated or lifelong education institutions. As a result of making a comparative analysis, the following findings were given: As for satisfaction with curriculum, the college students were more satisfied than the student users of the credit bank system, and the gap between the two was significant(p<0.001). When they were asked a question whether there was any particular course with which they were unsatisfied, both of the students pointed out a practical course for major. Concerning another question to which course a larger number of classes should be allocated, both groups mentioned practice of beauty art, so practical course for major was revealed as a problem. The college students were better satisfied than the credit bank system users with professors/instructors, the knowledge of professors and the impartiality of grading, and the intergroup gaps were significant(p<0.05). Regarding post-graduation career, many of the college students wanted to get a job, and a lot of the credit bank system users aimed to obtain a degree. In the future, new and better educational programs tailored to the diverse needs of regular college students and student users of the credit bank system should be prepared in line with the trend in beauty art education.
